  • -sow seeds 1/8-1/4 inch deep

    -start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost

    -partial to full sun

    -harvest outer leaves as you need them to help stimulate new growth

    -flowers in the second year if you want seed, cut before it flowers if you don’t want seed

    -good companions include: asparagus, tomato, beans, peppers, cabbage, kale, corn

    -bad companions include: carrot, onion, garlic, lettuce
